The rules
Short enough to actually read.
The game
- Every week of the NFL regular season (weeks 1–18), each entry picks one team to win its game. Straight up — margin doesn't matter.
- A loss or a tie is a strike. So is missing a week without a pick. Rack up 2 strikes and your entry is dead.
- Each team can only be used once per entry for the whole season.
Getting in
- $10 per entry, Venmo'd to the commissioner with the note "PickEm [your name]".
- Join any time before week 1 kicks off. After that you'll need commissioner approval, and you're only on the hook for weeks from when you're approved.
- Unpaid? You can make your first week's pick, but picking locks after that until your buy-in is recorded.
- Run as many entries as you like — each is its own buy-in, its own picks, its own life ("Korn 2", "Korn 3", …).
Picking
- Your pick locks when your team's game kicks off. Until then, you can switch to any team that hasn't started yet.
- Next week's picks open Tuesday at midnight Central. The full season schedule is always browsable on the Pick tab.
- Picks stay hidden from other players until the whole week has kicked off. Past weeks — and everyone's strikes — are public on the board.
- Canceled game? Your pick is voided — no strike, but the team's still used. Postponed games grade whenever they're played.
Winning
- Last entry alive takes 100% of the pot. No second-place money.
- If multiple entries survive week 18, or everyone left strikes out in the same week, those entries split the pot evenly.
- The commissioner's rulings on any dispute are final.
